2016-2020 Sports tourism competitiveness of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area

This research adopted data from 11 cities in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area from 2016 to 2020. The data were mainly collected from Guangdong Provincial Statistical Yearbook, the statistical annual reports of the 11 cities, China Tourism Statistical Yearbook, and China Mass Sports Development Annual Report from 2016 to 2020.Among them, C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C12, C13, C14, C15 and C16 are from the statistical yearbooks of the 11 cities in the Greater Bay Area and China Tourism Statistical Yearbook from 2016 - 2020, and C6, C7, C8 and C9 are from the Statistical Yearbook of Guangdong Province. C10 and C11 are from the number of tourism resources and tournaments released by the Culture, Sports, and Tourism Bureaus (CSSTBs) of the cities, and C17 and C18 are from the data released by the ecological environment bureaus in each city. When a piece of data was inconsistent, it was generally based on higher level department research or the latest research data of the same level department. For the case of the missing of individual statistical data, the average of the data of the following two years was applied for interpolation. In addition, the map of China used in this research was adopted from Data Center for Resources and Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
