The effects of environmental enrichment on maternal nurturance, lactation quality, and offspring social behavior

It was our goal to discern the effects of environemental enrichement on quality of mRNA in milk from Sprague-Dawley rat mothers. Overall design: Sprague-Dawley rats were housed and bred in either enriched environment or standard-housed conditions. Litters were standardized and cross-fostered across groups, and maternal milk samples were then collected on P10 for analysis.
