Adolf Kneser: Lehrbuch der Variationsrechnung — Complete German Edition and English Translation

Dedicated Kneser record for the Modern LaTeX Editions of Mathematics Manuscripts project. This version carries complete German-source and aligned English reader/TeX surfaces through source-PDF p0335 and the complete 336-page source witness. Newly completed: source-PDF p0249-p0335 (printed pp. 227-312, Literature, printed Errata, and the unnumbered Addendum). Source-PDF p0336 is a rear board with no authorial text; it is retained in the scan and explicitly excluded from scholarly transcription. Figure-facsimile upgrade: all twenty-four inherited figures in both reader editions now use tightly bounded source facsimiles rather than error-prone reconstructions. Untouched authority crops and separate non-destructive derivatives are retained and hashed. Independent final-output QA accepts all 48 placements and 115 changed-page-plus-neighbor renders. No body prose or mathematics changed. Edition policy: the German is a diplomatic, source-faithful working edition. The English is a separate aligned faithful translation and never controls or back-writes the German reading. Printed errors and errata are preserved; thirteen proposed body corrections remain in a separate ledger and were not silently applied. Completed QA: exact page/seam ownership, source quality, isolated and canonical two-pass builds, warning review, changed-page-plus-neighbor visual QA, raster equivalence, repair provenance, hashes, and wider-corpus/metadata audit. The later one-object-per-crop dense-mathematics evidence audit remains openly under refinement after rejected crop/register generations; no final individual-crop certification is claimed. The inherited p0001-p0248 lane is carried forward but was not freshly source-pixel recertified by this tail release. Repair-history qualification: exact ledger preimage/postimage and sixteen appended repairs are preserved, while specific older JOB11/JOB12/JOB13 transitions remain explicitly documented as reconstructed, aggregate-only, or absent. Final source/output QA is separately replayed; no broader historical-process certification is claimed. Qualification: source-witnessed working editions, not certified critical editions.
