Audiovisual Sectorial Fund and audiovisual policies: interfaces with visual culture studies

Abstract Contemporaneously, audiovisual production plays an important role in the composition of the visual culture field. Thus, we consider the dimension of public policies as a fundamental element in the composition of visual production as they are the ones that organize the modes of production, circulation, and distribution in this field. This article elaborates an X-ray of the cultural policy for audiovisual in Brazil in the historical period from 2006 to 2018. The methodology started from the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the market performance data provided by Agência Nacional do Cinema, as well as the laws and official documents.
