New validated reference genes for gene expression studies in the differentiating human airway epithelium

The aim of the study was to identify stably expressed genes suitable for RT-qPCR normalization in an in vitro model of human airway epithelium (AE). The most stably expressed genes were identified using RNAseq and microarray data from AE cultures representing various stages of cell differentiation. Experimental validation of the top 15 genes with various expression levels was performed using RT-qPCR and several algorithms available in RefFinder tool.
