Processed RNA-seq data from the study "SARS-CoV-2 spike protein causes synaptic dysfunction and p-tau and α-synuclein aggregation leading cognitive impairment: The protective role of metformin"

This dataset accompanies the article “SARS-CoV-2 spike protein causes synaptic dysfunction and p-tau and α-synuclein aggregation leading cognitive impairment: The protective role of metformin,” published in PLOS ONE. It contains normalized RNA-sequencing gene expression data and sample metadata from hippocampal tissues of rats treated with SARS-CoV-2 S1 protein. The dataset includes:- `gene_expression_matrix.csv`: DESeq2-normalized gene expression values (log2; rows: genes, columns: samples)- `metadata_sample_info.txt`: Sample-level information (group, treatment, tissue) Expression values were normalized using TMM + CPM normalization and referenced to the hg19(UCSC) genome. All data are anonymized and freely available for reuse under the CC-BY 4.0 license.
