Acute lymphoblastic leukemia with central nervous system Aspergillus infection: a case report and literature review

Ubiquitous in nature, aspergillus rarely invades the brain to induce infection in general. However, in clinical practice, some patients with hematological malignancies or immunosuppression may suffer from aspergillus infection of the central nervous system (CNS), which arises most commonly as a result of hematogenous dissemination from a pulmonary focus or direct extension from the paranasal sinus infection.
