Polymorphic Anhydrous Cocrystals of Gallic Acid and Acetamide from Methanol: Pointers toward a Stable Cocrystal Form

Polymorphic anhydrous cocrystals generated from a methanolic
solution
of gallic acid monohydrate and acetamide are shown to convert to the
stable form II on complete drying, and the pathway to the stable form
is explained on the basis of the variability in the hydrogen bonding
patterns followed by theoretical calculations.
