Whole Genome Resequencing in North American Atlantic salmon

We performed high coverage whole genome re-sequencing of 80 North American Atlantic salmon individuals from three aquaculture stocks that are propagated in the USDA-ARS National Cold Water Marine Aquaculture Center (NCWMAC). The sequence data was used for SNP discovery and the resulting SNP database provides an important resource for a new high density SNP array design and other SNP genotyping platforms used in various genetic and genomics studies of North American Atlantic salmon.

本研究对来自美国农业部农业研究服务局国家冷水海洋水产养殖中心（NCWMAC）繁育的三个养殖群体的80尾北美大西洋鲑进行了高覆盖率全基因组重测序。测序数据被用于单核苷酸多态性（SNP）的发现，所生成的SNP数据库为设计新型高密度SNP芯片以及用于北美大西洋鲑各遗传和基因组学研究中的其他SNP分型平台提供了一个重要的资源。
