Elucidating Roles of Cyclin J in regulating innate immune responses in macrophages.. Mus musculus

Accumulating evidence has shown that Cyclins and CDKs function as part of the integral component in contributing immunomodulatory processes. Such pro-inflammatory role of CDKs occurs largely independently from their initial discovery in cell cycle regulation, given that many of the immune cells are terminally differentiated cells such as macrophages and neutrophils. Thus, the aim of this research is to understand how cyclin, specifically Cyclin J modulate immune response in macrophage. We established Cyclin J stably expressing RAW264.7 cells, and performed transcriptome analysis to evaluate gene expression changes by the expression of Cyclin J.
