This dataset supports the manuscript “High thermotolerance to ocean warming in dominant subtropical Eastern Atlantic gorgonians” authored by [Mas G., Serrano E., Otero-Ferrer F., Bolivar M., Mallenco R., Siles P., Ribes M. & Coma R.].
 “High thermotolerance to ocean warming in dominant subtropical Eastern Atlantic gorgonians”.

The dataset includes unprocessed measurements obtained from controlled aquarium experiments assessing the response of Leptogorgia ruberrima and Leptogorgia viminalis to increasing temperature under natural food concentrations.

Dataset includes four excel sheets per species:

-PM: partial mortality assessment along the study

-Colony affection: percentage of colonies affected along the study

-Mortality: colonies dead along the study

-Biomass loss: biomass g DW/cm and the percentage of loss between the start of the study and the first appearence of partial mortality.
