Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission final performance report January 1 - August 31, 1995, Grant Number NA46-FI0-236, ASMFC/Pennsylvania Shad Grant Preparation of an amendment to the interstate fishery management plan for shad and river herring

This grant was received by the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission pursuant to the Interjurisdictional Fisheries Act (P.L. 99-659). Specifically, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania offers its unused Interjurisdictional Fisheries Act funds to be used by the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission to further the Commission's work on behalf of the states in managing Alosid (shad, alewife, blueback herring, and hickory shad) stocks on the Atlantic Coast. The Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (Commission), as outlined in its grant application, elected to use these ASMFC / Pennsylvania Shad grant funds to provide staff support needed to amend the Fishery Management Plan for the Anadromous Stocks of the Eastern United States: American Shad, Hickory Shad, Alewife, and Blueback Herring: Phase II in Interstate Management Planning for Migratory Alosids of the Atlantic Coast.
