资源简介:
Bacteria play an essential role in the health of terrestrial plants. The same applies to macro-algae or seaweed. One way in which bacteria ensures the health and wellbeing of seaweed, is through the production of the compound, indole-3-acetic acid (IAA). This compound is a growth hormone, encouraging the formation of new growth in seaweed. The images presented here, are as follow:96-well layout for IAA screening: Pdf document providing the layout used in 96-well plates for measuring the production of indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), an indicator of algal-growth promotion, by seaweed-associated bacteria (names recorded in the plate layout). There are two sets of plates, with plates 1a, 1b, and 1c being biological repeats, with the same applying to plates 2a, 2b, and 2c. Each plate contain technical repeats (3) for each sample.IAA_Plates 1a, 1b, 1c: Image of the three 96-well plates denoted as IAA_Plates_1a, 1b, and 1c. Pink to orange colouration is indicative of indole-3-acetic acid or other indole production.IAA_Plates 2a, 2b, 2c: Image of the three 96-well plates denoted as IAA_Plates_2a, 2b, and 2c. Pink to orange colouration is indicative of indole-3-acetic acid or other indole production.
