Colombia: investments in clean energy 2010-2019

Investments in clean energy in Colombia have oscillated throughout the past decade. In 2019, investments in the South American country amounted to approximately 63.5 million U.S. dollars, a decline of some 76 percent in comparison to the previous year. In contrast, this investment value more than doubled when compared to 2017. Since 2010, the country attracted over 1.4 billion dollars worth of investments in the segment. Colombia's renewable energy capacity stood at 12.4 gigawatts in 2019.
