The method for viral detection using Nanopore sequencing has been established and assessed compared to MiSeq and qPCR. Therefore, we proceed to use the same method to screen 310 samples (collected at entry from Canadian feedlot cattle, with or without symptoms of BRD) to characterize the virome of feedlot cattle and predict the occurrence of BRD.
