Colour discrimination from perceived differences by birds

Datafiles accompanying the manuscript "Colour discrimination from perceived differences by birds" by Jair E. Garcia, Detlef H Rohr and Adrian G. Dyer
The "CDSF_posterior_coefficients.csv" file contains posterior distributions for fixed and random terms defining a power function predicting the sensitivity index (d') for a colour discrimination experiment by the violet sensitive bird (Columba livia) from behavioural experiments conducted by Wright (1972) (Equation 5 in the main manuscript).
The file is a CSV file consisting on 100,000 rows and 25 columns. The first two columns contains coefficients for terms a and m in Equation 5 (d' = (a + \alpha_i) * \DeltaC^m), whilst columns 5 through 24 contain the different random terms \alpha corresponding to the tested quasi-monochromatic stimuli from 470 to 660 nm at 10 nm intervals.
The second file "RN_deltaS_simulation_reuslts.csv" contains 100,000 Delta S predictions corresponding to the 100 stimuli pairs tested by wright and the 100,000 Weber fractions simulated from an uniform distribution with lower and upper bounds at 0.05 and 0.1. Data was tabulated in a CSV file were each column contains 100 Delta S values for the different Weber values used in the simulation. The precise value of the Weber fraction used are provided in the file "e_values_tested.csv"
