Data and code for "From attribute co-occurrence to cultural claims: A construct-validity audit of archaeological attribution networks using Peranakan Nyonya ceramics"

This reproducibility archive supports a construct-validity audit of archaeological attribution networks using 75 Peranakan Nyonya ceramic records, 52 canonical motif nodes, 332 binary object–motif edges, and 312 node-tradition judgments per coder. It contains the object-motif layer, canonical motif dictionary, coding protocol, completed pilot and main coding files, reliability and adjudication records, archived and construct-aligned analysis outputs, complete null outputs, and a portable fixed-margin Curveball reproduction script. The journal manuscript and submission figures are not included. Third-party museum images and source documents are not redistributed; stable links, identifiers, descriptions, and evidence references are supplied where permitted. Version 3 supersedes Version 2. A post-adjudication audit of evidence grades found that two positive node–tradition links rested entirely on museum object records, which the frozen manual grades D for tradition evidence. One was re-founded on a qualifying scholarly item and retained; the other was withdrawn. All reported statistics are recomputed on the corrected attribution layer. The coder workbooks and the pre-adjudication reliability file are not amended, because they record what the coders did, including the mis-grading the audit found. The authoritative analysis workbook is 06_ANALYSIS/S3_Construct_Validity_Results_v1.0.xlsx; the pre-audit workbook is retained in 99_SUPERSEDED for audit history only. Version 3 also adds an object-level provenance table, portable figure-reproduction scripts, and updated manifests and checksums. The coding manual was frozen on 25 July 2026. The reported 80.5% rate is conditional on the fixed-network simulation design and is not a field-wide estimate.
