Transcription analysis of avian coronavirus mutants expressing reporter proteins

Infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) is an avian coronavirus that causes infectious bronchitis, an acute and highly contagious respiratory disease of chickens, which is a constant threat and causes significant economic losses worldwide.We have successfully established an infectious clone of IBV strain Beaudette expressing reporter gene. The goal of this study is to analyze if reporter insertion affects genomic RNA and subgenomic RNA synthesis.
