Microbial community structure in agricultural peatland soils

The aim of this study was to test the effects of different soil amendments on the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions from agricultural peatland soils, and to see if there is a connection between how the GHG production rates are affected by each soil amendment, and the structure of the soil microbial community in each soil. Understanding how soils with different microbial communities respond to soil amendment use is important for effective mitigation of GHG emissions.
