Worldwide evolution in world food supply per capita 1961-2011

Worldwide patterns of food consumption of individuals changed significantly over the last decades. The per capita caloric intake of cereals decreased from 49.8 percent in 1961 to 45.4 percent in 2011. On the other hand, individuals tended to consume more fish and eggs, which reported each a share of 0.8 percent of caloric intake in 1961. Forty years later, they made up 1.2 percent of the per capita calories consumption.
