These datasets provide raw data for the analysis of author self-citation on COVID-19 research in Scopus. Due to the large volume of results, the information in Scopus was cut to create two datasets. One them contains data of the publications of the top 160 authors, whereas the other contains data of authors with more than 120 in Scopus, making a total of 34 authors, referred as the most productive authors. These datasets were analyzed by SciVal.
