资源简介:

PSI/Malawi is engaged in the social marketing of a range of health products that directly address the most significant health concerns faced by Malawians: Malaria, HIV/AIDS, and diarrhea disease. These products consist of Chishango condoms (reported to make-up over 60% of the condoms used by 15-24 year olds) ; Chitetezo insecticide treated mosquito nets (over 95% of ITNs owned); Mabwezera Chitetezo treatment kits (used in over 95% of net treatment); Thanzi ORS (75% of all ORS use), WaterGuard (point-of-use water treatment that accounts for 41% of household treated drinking water) . In the near future, PSI/Malawi has also plans to launch WaterGuard Powder and female condoms. The products are distributed via a range of traditional and non-traditional outlets, primarily employing Malawi's commercial distribution network (for Chishango, Blue Chitetezo ITNs, Mabwezera Chitetezo, Thanzi and WaterGuard liquid and WaterGuard powder); and the MOH'™s network of health facilities (for green Chitetezo ITNs and Mabwezera Chitetezo). Study Rationale: The purpose of the 2008 TRaC (Tracking Results Continuously) survey in Malawi is to generate evidence for social marketing decision making. The data gathered through the 2008 TRaC survey will be presented in the PSI research Dashboard and the PSI Dashboard PERForMance Review. The Dashboard is a set of standardized tables for segmenting populations, monitoring trends on key population and service delivery indicators, and evaluating program effectiveness.
