Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense Tropical race 4 in Peru

Fusarium odoratissimum (a.k.a. Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense) is a devastating fungal disease affecting bananas worldwide. It is divided into several races and one of them, the tropical race 4 (TR4), aggressively attack several banana types including the Cavendish that dominate the global banana export economy. After epidemic spreading in Asia, Middle East, Mozambique and in Colombia, plants showing symptoms corresponding to Fusarium Wilt were observed in Peru. Four single-spore isolates were sequenced by illumina and one by oxford nanopore for identification and further genome analyses.
