THE FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN BONES AND MUSCLES IN THE MUSCULOSKELETAL SYSTEM

This article examines the functional relationship between bones and muscles and explains how their anatomical interaction enables coordinated motion. The study is based on a qualitative review of anatomical and physiological literature. The findings show that bones serve as rigid levers, while muscles generate force through contraction. Their interaction at joints allows voluntary movement and maintenance of posture. Understanding this relationship is essential for medical education, sports science, and clinical practice.
