Influence of the ZC3H12A gene on theTCMK1 cell line

The TCMK-1 cell line is a line of normal epithelial cells derived from proximal tubules of the kidney. In our studies, we wanted to check whether the lack of Mcpip1 enzymatic activity would be a sufficient factor causing change cells phenotype to mesenchymal.In our study we used pLIX D141N vector containing enzymatically inactive MCPIP1, in whicha point mutation was introduced in the RNase domain and control pLIX PURO. The study was conducted in three independent biological replicates.
