资源简介:
The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) operates three long-range Coastal ocean dynamics applications radar (CODAR) SeaSonde High Frequency Radar (HFR) stations as part of it's Central Gulf of Mexico Ocean Observing System (CenGOOS). The stations are located at Singing River Island in Pascagoula, MS, Gulf State Park in Orange Beach, AL, and Henderson Beach State Park in Destin, FL. Each station generates the component of the surface current vector in radial directions ("radials") from the receive antenna. These "radials" are generated at a set of different azimuths and ranges form the receive antenna. Where these "radials" overlap, the total surface current vector ("totals") can be estimated using the MUSIC algorithm. A central computer at USM computes the totals from the combined radials from the three stations. USM also serves the radials to the IOOS HFR National Server which computs the totals independently.
