资源简介:
**Overview** This data package contains information about Average Inpatient Length of Stay for Joint Replacement from 1992-2010 and Discharge Status for Adults and Quality Measures National Statistics of Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). It also provides information about Principal Diagnoses from 2010-2011 and Trends in Hip and Knee Joint Replacement Procedures from 1991-2010. **Description** This data package contains the "The average length of stay for all hip and knee replacements among inpatients that have shown a remarkable decline of at least 50% from 1992 through 2010 from nearly 5 days to just under 4 days. Hip and knee procedures, involve replacement or revision procedures anywhere from the pelvis to the head of the femur and its socket. It can either be replaced or revised to restore movement of the hips and knees that are damaged by osteoarthritis, late-stage degenerative bone and cartilage disease, or other injuries and disease conditions. Most adults with total hip and revision hip replacements are routinely discharged home, but 20% to 30% are discharged to long-term care. Slightly higher rates of persons age 65 years and older go to long-term care. Hip Knee Joint Procedures Quality Measures National Statistics Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) identifies national statistics outcomes for procedures arthroplasty knee and hip replacement, total and partial; sourced from the AHRQ and the National Hospital Admissions (NHA). The dataset provides information on health care use, access, outcomes, and costs related to arthroplasty knee and hip, total and partial, procedures. Hospital Complication Rates for Hip and Knee Replacement Patients reports risk-standardized complication measures for elective primary total hip arthroplasty (THA) and/or total knee arthroplasty (TKA) procedures. The goal of the measures is to improve the quality of care delivered to patients undergoing elective primary THA and/or TKA procedures. Hospitalization and Discharge for Arthritis and Rheumatoid Conditions estimates 6.7 million hospitalizations that are associated with a diagnosis of Arthritis and Other Rheumatic Condition (AORC) or 17.3% of all hospitalizations in 2011. Discharge from the hospital to long-term care or home health care occurs more often among AORC-associated hospitalizations than is found among hospitalizations for all causes. Principal Diagnoses Hip and Knee Joint Replacement United States Bone and Joint Initiative (USBJI) provides the associated diagnoses related to cases of total hip replacements, partial hip replacements and total knee replacements done in the United States from 2010 to 2011. This dataset can be used to provide preventive management for musculoskeletal conditions associated with hip, knee and joint replacement procedures to reduce the incidences of physical disability. State Complication Rates for Hip and Knee Replacement Patients includes state-level data for the hip/knee complication measure, the AHRQ measures of serious complications, and 30-day death rates. Trends in Hip and Knee Joint Replacement Procedures USBJI shows the trend over the last 2 decades (1991-2010) in terms of the growing cases of hip and knee joint replacement procedures that translate to more funding from the United States government for the growing elderly population. The multiple associations of health providers treating musculoskeletal diseases realized the work had only begun, and the USBJI, a part of the Global Alliance for Musculoskeletal Health, was created. **Benefits** - Useful for medical care staff and providers, patients, consumers and hospitals. hip knee joint conditions and complication rates database is available on the national hospital discharge survey (nhds), nationwide inpatient sample (nis) and healthcare cost and utilization project (hcup), agency for healthcare research and quality, national hospital admissions, cpi inflation calculator, bureau of labor statistics, united states department of labor and medicare.gov websites in raw form, whereas a jsl customer gets it in clean and normalized form ready to use in one place and create his own custom reports. easy to comprehend for the customers who are unfamiliar with the medical terminologies as all abbreviated terms are replaced with full form, unlike hip knee joint conditions and complication rates original datasets which are full of abbreviations. **License Information** The use of John Snow Labs datasets is free for personal and research purposes. Slightly higher rates of persons age 65 years and older go to long-term care. Among patients who undergo a partial hip replacement, nearly half (45%) go to long-term care, with three out of five who are 65 years and older with a partial hip replacement doing so. This dataset showcases about this study results. - [Hip Knee Joint Procedures Quality Measures National Statistics AHRQ](https://www.johnsnowlabs.com/marketplace/hip-knee-joint-procedures-quality-measures-national-statistics-ahrq) - This dataset identifies national statistics outcomes for procedures arthroplasty knee and hip replacement, total and partial; sourced from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and the National Hospital Admissions (NHA). - [Hospital Complication Rates for Hip and Knee Replacement Patients](https://www.johnsnowlabs.com/marketplace/hospital-complication-rates-for-hip-and-knee-replacement-patients) - This dataset includes provider data for the hip/knee complication measure, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) measures of serious complications, and 30-day death rates. Although they vary slightly in the number of cases, overall they provide relatively consistent estimates of inpatient joint replacement procedures. Data comes from the National Hospital Discharge Survey (NHDS) and the Nationwide Inpatient Sample (NIS). - [Mean Total Hospital Charges Hip Knee Joint Replacement USBJI 1998-2011](https://www.johnsnowlabs.com/marketplace/mean-total-hospital-charges-hip-knee-joint-replacement-usbji-1998-2011) - This dataset discusses that in spite of shorter hospital stays, mean hospital charges from 1998 through 2011 steadily increased for all hip replacements. Data is from CPI Inflation Calculator, Bureau of Labor Statistics and the United States Department of Labor. - [National Complication Rates for Hip and Knee Replacement Patients](https://www.johnsnowlabs.com/marketplace/national-complication-rates-for-hip-and-knee-replacement-patients) - This dataset includes national-level data for the hip/knee complication measure, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) measures of serious complications, and 30-day death rates.
