区域碳浓度数据库利用空间分辨率约为2km×1km,重访周期为16天的遥感卫星图像反演出碳浓度。该数据库结合地理空间信息处理技术,基于区域矢量数据进行切割获取区域碳浓度数据。大气二氧化碳浓度上升是导致全球气候变暖的主要原因之一,所以监测区域碳浓度变化有助于了解并减缓全球气候变化的趋势。同时,区域碳浓度变化可以直接反映某一地区在实施一系列相关政策措施(如调整产业结构、发展绿色交通、推广绿色节能建筑和绿植种植等)后的碳减排效果。结合经济增长数据,碳浓度还能用于衡量某一地区的经济发展效率。团队通过云计算技术和自主算法解译百万量级卫星图像,本数据集包括世界主要城市(包含中国336个地级市)的日度、月度、季度和年度碳浓度数据。
The Regional Carbon Concentration Database retrieves carbon concentrations from remote sensing satellite imagery with a spatial resolution of approximately 2 km × 1 km and a revisit period of 16 days. Combined with geospatial information processing technologies, it extracts regional carbon concentration data by cropping based on regional vector datasets.
Atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration increase is one of the primary drivers of global warming; thus, monitoring changes in regional carbon concentrations helps to understand and mitigate the trend of global climate change. Meanwhile, changes in regional carbon concentrations can directly reflect the carbon emission reduction effectiveness of a region after implementing a series of relevant policy measures, such as adjusting industrial structure, developing green transportation, promoting energy-efficient green buildings, and vegetation planting, among others. Additionally, when paired with economic growth data, carbon concentrations can also be used to evaluate the economic development efficiency of a region.
The research team interpreted over one million satellite images using cloud computing technologies and self-developed algorithms. This dataset covers daily, monthly, quarterly and annual carbon concentration data of major cities worldwide, including 336 prefecture-level cities in China.
