This dataset contains raw extracellular multi-unit recordings from the auditory cortex of anesthetized Sprague–Dawley rats during an auditory oddball paradigm.
Neural activity was recorded using tungsten electrodes (1–3 MΩ) with a Tucker-Davis Technologies (TDT) acquisition system.
Each session included alternating blocks of control and effect conditions, with 90% standard and 10% deviant tones.
Data include continuous raw voltage traces, timestamps, and event markers for each trial, prior to spike sorting or averaging.
These recordings provide the basis for studies of deviance detection and stimulus-specific adaptation in the auditory cortex.
