In situ bio-optical and biogeochemical dataset across coastal, open-ocean, and Arctic environments

This dataset compiles in situ bio-optical and biogeochemical measurements collected across a wide range of marine environments, including open-ocean, coastal, and Arctic regions. It includes observations acquired during the BIOSOPE (Biogeochemistry and Optics South Pacific Experiment) cruise (Claustre et al., 2008; Stramski et al., 2008), the KM12-10 cruise (Johnsen et al., 2014; Reynolds and Stramski, 2021), the ANTXXVI/4 cruise (Uitz et al., 2015), and the HLY1001, HLY1101, and MR17-05C cruises (Arrigo, 2015; Reynolds and Stramski, 2019; Shiozaki et al., 2019). The dataset also incorporates measurements collected within the framework of the COASTlOOC (Coastal Surveillance Through Observation of Ocean Color) research project, which involved multiple experiments conducted in diverse European coastal waters during 1997 and 1998 (Massicotte et al., 2023).
