资源简介:

What 2,517 US software jobs labeled "Entry level" on LinkedIn actually asked for. The listings were posted between January and August 2026, about 4 in 5 of them in July and August. Files jobs.csv: one row per listing, 75 columns: experience required, degrees and the alternatives employers accepted, citizenship, clearance and sponsorship requirements, remote or on-site work, the projects applicants were asked to show, training on offer, how candidates are assessed, and AI use. The file has 2,518 rows; use the 2,517 marked inclusion_status = retained (one record had conflicting country information). technologies.csv: 32,271 mentions of named languages, frameworks, cloud platforms, databases and AI tools, each tagged as required, preferred, optional or part of the job's duties. Join to jobs.csv on job_id. FIELD-GUIDE.md defines every column. REPRODUCE.md and reproduce.py recompute the figures in Global Software Companies' articles. manifest.json records file hashes and row and column counts. LICENSE.md gives the license terms. Which listings are included US listings labeled "Entry level" with "software" plus developer, engineer or programmer in the title, and none of instructor, tutor, sales, recruiter, senior, manager or director. After reading each listing in full, we kept ordinary software-development roles where at least one way in asked for no more than 2 years of professional experience, or gave no number. Internships, training placements and AI-evaluation roles were left out. Repeat postings with the same text, advertiser, title and location were counted once (458 repeats removed). Method Listings were classified with AI assistance under written rules, with further source checks for conflicting cases. A Global Software Companies researcher checked about 1 in 5 of the AI classifications by hand and reviewed the edge cases those checks identified; this is a spot check, not a measured accuracy rate. Limits These are selected listings, not a representative sample of the US job market or of unique vacancies, and the uneven posting dates don't support trends over time. A requirement in a listing shows what was asked, not how applicants were screened or who was hired. not_stated means the listing doesn't say, not that the answer is no. Original listing descriptions and contact details are not included.
