Land use and space are the main drivers of subtropical stream bacterial beta diversity

This repository contains datasets and R scripts used to evaluate beta diversity patterns and environmental, land-use, and spatial drivers of bacterioplankton communities from 72 subtropical low-order streams. It includes bacterial community matrices (phylum, genus/species, and ASV level), environmental and watershed land-cover data, and geolocation information. The scripts perform beta diversity partitioning using presence–absence and abundance frameworks, distance-based redundancy analysis (db-RDA), variance partitioning, and generate all community composition and diversity figures presented in the manuscript. All analyses are fully reproducible.
