Tissue transcriptomes are assembled from Medauroidea extradentata's head, mid-gut, ileum, rectum, and all other body parts together without head and digestive tract. This project is to identify the differential expressed Plant Cell Wall Degrading Enzymes between the species' anterior and posterior mid-gut. Additionally, the transcriptomes from other body tissues can contribute more information on the poorly understood digestion mechanism of stick insects.
