Demographic, socioeconomic, parasitological, and micronutrient variables associated with hookworm infection, stratified by school-aged children and women.

In April 2010, stool, urine and blood samples were collected from 324 individuals and socio-demographic variables obtained from the readily available database of the Taabo health and demographic surveillance system located in south-central Côte d'Ivoire. Univariate and multivariate logistic regressions were used to calculate the association between hookworm infection as outcome and demographic, geographic, socioeconomic, parasitic, micronutrient, and inflammatory explanatory variables.
