This collection contains a set of calibrated tables in .FIT format for the
New Horizons Student Dust Counter (SDC) instrument during
the JUPITER ENCOUNTER mission phase. These data were migrated from the PDS3
dataset: NH-J-SDC-3-JUPITER-V4.0.
For the Jupiter encounter mission phase, SDC collected no science
data during the Jupiter flyby, as the requisite spacecraft
configuration prevented SDC from operating. There were some very
sparse data taken from December, 2006 through April, 2007, and
some of very short (or zero) duration after the Jupiter flyby from
April, 2007 through June, 2007.
Labels were redesigned during migration using the .FIT header and PDS3 .LBL
files, but the data files are unchanged from their PDS3 version.
