The Underwater Single Image Color Restoration Dataset was co-developed by the School of Electrical Engineering at Tel Aviv University and the School of Marine Sciences at the University of Haifa, aiming to provide a quantitative evaluation platform for underwater image color restoration algorithms. This dataset contains images captured at various locations and under different water body properties, each equipped with a color chart to enable precise color restoration assessment. Additionally, the 3D structure of the scene is calculated via stereo imaging technology, providing ground-truth data for related algorithms. The dataset is primarily applied in marine research, especially in fields such as automatic segmentation, feature matching and navigation assistance, to improve the accuracy and efficiency of underwater image processing.
