This 1985 R/V Moana Wave SeaMarc II cruise surveyed the north Panama thrust belt, collecting high-resolution SeaMARC II side-scan sonar and bathymetric data and single-channel seismic data. MW8507 (PANMARC I) was a companion cruise. The objectives included obtaining high-resolution imaging data of the north Panama thrust belt to study the oroclinal deformation of Panama. Funded by NSF grants OCE=8415714, OCE-8417928, OCE-8418384, and OCE-8503855.
