The 3D Image Database of Synthetic Blood Vessel Models consists of five directories: TubesNii Directory This directory contains artificially generated 3D raster images of simple cylindrical segments. The cylinders are placed at the boundaries of regions with varying brightness levels, simulating blood vessels at the interface of tissues with different properties. The cylinders have varying radii and are generated in different orientations. Additionally, Gaussian noise with varying standard deviations has been added to the images. The file names encode information about the orientation (value after the letter "d"), radius (value after the letter "r"), and noise level (value after the letter "n"). TubesTxt Directory This directory provides textual descriptions of the geometry of the images contained in the TubesNii directory. ModelsNii Directory This directory contains artificially generated 3D raster images simulating simple structures similar to those found in vascular systems. It includes files such as bifur.nii (vessel bifurcation), torus.nii (curved segment), and pass.nii (two cylinders in close proximity). ModelsTxt Directory This directory provides textual descriptions of the geometry of the images in the ModelsNii directory. MakeTubes Directory This directory includes C++ source code for generating raster images based on textual geometry descriptions. It also contains a Unix shell script to automate the generation of these images.
