Using Saccharomyces cerevisiae as the chassis cell, a control strain engineered for de novo biosynthesis of naringenin via a heterologous pathway was employed. The EHT1 gene was overexpressed in this background. Samples were taken at 24 h and 48 h of fermentation for comparative transcriptome analysis against the control strain without EHT1 overexpression.
