资源简介:
Strongyloides stercoralis is parasite affecting both humans and dogs and is most prevalent in tropical and subtropical areas of Australia. Diagnosis can be challenging in humans and dogs due to intermittent shedding and low worm burdens and in this case the symptomatic dog had Strongyloides spp. larvae detected on a direct faecal smear. Obtained deep amplicon sequences (cox1 & 18S rDNA HVR-I and HVR-IV) from the symptomatic dog confirmed the presence of the S. stercoralis clade affecting both dogs and humans.
