EFL Pre-service Teachers' Digital Literacy Survey Results

This dataset contains the raw survey responses collected from a questionnaire administered to EFL (English as a Foreign Language) pre-service teachers in China. The survey was conducted via Wenjuanxing (QuestionnaireStar), and includes both demographic information and participants' self-reported perceptions of their digital literacy and its application in teaching practice. The questionnaire consists of 40 items, covering the following aspects: Demographic background (e.g., age, gender, grade level, household registration location)Educational experience (e.g., participation in teaching practicum, major orientation, ICT training experiences)Frequency and patterns of technology use (e.g., daily internet usage, ownership of smart devices)Perceptions of digital literacy, including confidence, motivation, ethical awareness, and technical proficiencyAbility to apply digital tools in English teaching and learning, such as resource management, instructional design, individualized instruction, and assessmentThis data was used to support the quantitative component of the mixed-methods study titled "Digital literacy and its influencing factors among EFL pre-service teachers: Evidence from a mixed-methods study in China." The Excel file includes all original responses, with clear variable labels for ease of interpretation.
