This thesis tackles slope failures due to thawing in cold regions worsened by climate change. It proposes a new approach, using Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH), models frozen soil behaviour. Starting with analysing seepage in porous media, it progresses to simulate flow-deformation, and then introduces SPH-THM framework for coupled Thermal-Hydro-Mechanical problems. CASM-F model is added to capture frozen soil intricacies. The proposed Multiphysics SPH-THM framework advances geotechnical engineering for cold regions, enhancing slope stability prediction and frozen soil understanding. This work contributes to predicting slope failures and comprehending frozen soil dynamics in the face of climate challenges.
