Annual growth of VC-backed cannabis companies U.S. and Canada 2013-2019

Growth of the number of cannabis companies backed by venture capital deals in the U.S. and Canada has slowed since the explosion of the industry in 2012. The highest growth rate was in 2014, with 176 percent more companies with VC deals than the previous year.
