This dataset is the 2019 Forest Products Yearbook of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, which aggregates basic forest product statistical data from countries and regions worldwide with annual updates. It includes annual data on forest product output, import and export volumes and trade values, as well as annual trade flows and average unit values for selected forest products. The statistical information in the yearbook is primarily sourced from data collected by FAO through annual forest product questionnaires submitted by countries or official publications. In the absence of official data, FAO will make the most appropriate estimates based on available resources as much as possible. The objectives of this yearbook are to collect production and trade data via the Joint Forest Product Questionnaire, respond to the requirements of partner organization member countries to rationalize the collection and dissemination channels of forest sector data, and enhance the consistency of forestry statistical publications released by various institutions.
