资源简介:
Vibrio parahaemolyticus, is a gram-negative halophytic bacterium, has been well known as the causative agent of the most prevalent food poisoning in Asia in the past years after outbreak of mackerel-borne food poisoning along the coast of the Pacific Ocean in 1959. Infections with V. parahaemolyticus arise from the consumption of raw or undercooked shellfish could typically result in gastroenteritis. In rare cases, when the infection becomes systemic, it can be life-threatening to individuals with immune-compromised. Here we present ten draft genome sequences of Vibrio Parahaemolyticus that cultured from the stool sample of clinical patients and environmental samples. Comparative genomics between these isolates could provide new insights into the gene repertoire and virulence determiants of V.parahaemolyticus.
