genome sequenceing of Argentina anserina and Argentina lineata

we sequenced, assembled and annotated the gap-free genomes of allotetraploid A. anserina and diploid A. lineata distributed on the Tibetan Plateau. Comprehensive phylogenetic analyses based on nuclear genes, genome and chromosomes revealed that A. lineata is closely related to A. anserina B and may represent a potential ancestral diploid of A. anserina. Finally, the comparative analysis of the two genomes found that the expanded gene of A. lineata was mainly related to its medicinal value, and the expanded gene of A. anserina was related to its medicinal value and stress resistance especially A. anserina A, which showed some advantages in stress tolerance. Our study provides deeper insights into species divergence and genome evolution in extreme environment.
