For each of the five domains per chromosome, values of physical (Mbp) and genetic (cM) length and the recombination rate (cM/Mbp) are given (left column) as well as the percent of the total chromosome physical and genetic length occupied by each domain (right column). The genetic lengths of the three major domains (L, Center, R for C. elegans; A, Center, B for C. briggsae) were normalized using a single factor per chromosome so that the map lengths of the three domains sum to 50 cM. The second column from the right contains totals of the physical and normalized genetic map lengths.
