The dataset includes whole rock major and trace elements, mineral major elements, and zircon trace elements and isotopes for metabasites in the Tongbai orogen. The data were obtained by XRF and ICP-MS in ALS Chemex Company and by EMP and LA-ICP-MS at University of Science and Teconology of China. The data were used to trace the tectonic evolution of the Tongbai orogen.
