<b>The global burden of Aortic Aneurysm attributable to Hypertension from 1990 to 2021: Current Trends and Projections for 2050</b>

This dataset supports the findings of the article “Trends and Projections in the Global Burden of Hypertension-Related Aortic Aneurysm from 1990 to 2050: A Global Burden of Disease Study Analysis.” The data were extracted from the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) 2021 database (https://ghdx.healthdata.org/gbd-results-tool) and processed according to the methods described in the manuscript. The dataset includes annual data for the period 1990–2021 on aortic aneurysm (AA) attributable to hypertension, covering the following core indicators: Mortality，Disability-adjusted life years (DALYs), Age-standardized mortality rate (ASMR), Age-standardized DALY rate (ASDR). Data are provided by sex, age group, geographic region (global, SDI regions, and country level where applicable)Results from decomposition method, quantifying the contributions of population aging, population growth, and epidemiological changes to variations in mortality and DALYs over time, across regions and SDI levels.Results of frontier analysis that estimate “ideal” DALY values for each of the 204 countries and territories at different SDI levels, and highlight countries/regions with the largest gaps from the optimal frontier. Projected data for ASDR from 2022 to 2050 are included, derived using the Bayesian Age-Period-Cohort (BAPC) model as described in the study's Methods.
