Single-cell analysis of lung epithelial cells reveals age and cell population-specific responses to SARS-CoV-2 infection in ciliated cells

In this study, we characterized cell type and age-specific responses to SARS-CoV-2 from primary lung epithelial cells cultured on an air-liquid interface. Overall design: Gene expression profiling analysis of scRNA-seq data of primary lung epithelial cells from donors of different age groups cultured on air-liquid interface for 4-5 weeks before infected with SARS-CoV-2. Samples were collected 48 hours post infection.
